Epileptic Power Supply, Gov Sule Challenges AEDC for Improvement
Governor Abdullahi Sule has challenged the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company to intensify efforts towards addressing the epileptic power supply in Nasarawa State.
The Governor threw the challenge during a meeting with officials of the AEDC held at his instance.
Poised on ensuring the people of Nasarawa State enjoy adequate power supply through the supply of transformers among other responsibilities that ought to be carried out by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC, Governor Abdullahi Sule however, blamed the shortfall of electricity in Lafia and environs to poor customer relations.
The Governor urged the AEDC to step up efforts to allow for the enhancement of socio-economic activities in the state capital, noting that efforts must not be spared to solve the problem at hand.
Regional Manager accompanied by other officials was at the Government House to explain the persistent power outage in Lafia the state capital.
Attributing the situation to a national problem where power supply has dropped drastically across the nation, the Regional Manager said even at that the AEDC has been going around the clock to tackle the issue of epileptic power supply in Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State.
With a requirement of up to twenty megawatts, Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State is currently being supplied seven megawatts due to the shortfall of generation from National greed, as highlighted by the officials of the AEDC who assured that the situation will improve when generation and supply improves. He also appreciated Governor Sule for being proactive towards the needs of the power supply and other sundry needs of his people.
