Nigeria’s Development Hinges on Merit-Based Leadership

Solomon Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central constituency, emphasized that Nigeria’s development and competitiveness rely on citizens electing leaders based on merit.
He stressed this point while hosting various political and religious groups at the assembly complex. Akwashiki noted that Nigeria urgently needs development, achievable only through appointing and electing competent leaders rooted in merit, rather than parochial interests.
He prioritizes leaving a legacy in governance, pledging to serve as a voice for the voiceless. The lawmaker urged citizens not to let political, religious, and tribal differences undermine peace, instead encouraging unity and leveraging differences for development.
Akwashiki reiterated his commitment to positively impacting his constituency, calling for support of Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s government to access more democracy dividends.
He pledged to provide electricity, renovate schools, and enhance healthcare services in Akasa community, Lafia Local Government, to alleviate rural dwellers’ challenges.
