APC Stakeholders Unveil Wadada’s Running Mate
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress have been challenged to reach out to the people across their various units with a view to advancing the course of the party.
This was the thrust of a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall.
Presiding over the meeting, Governor Abdullahi Sule explained that it was meant to harmonise the views of critical stakeholders and party leadership ahead of the release of the final list of governorship candidates by INEC.
After the meeting, a decision was reached and Emmanuel Umbugadu was unveiled as the running mate to Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.
According to Governor Sule, the decision followed consultations, consideration and agreement among party stakeholders, as well as the contenders for the position of Deputy Governor under the platform of the APC.
Appreciating the stakeholders for their contributions and commitment towards ensuring the party remains united, Senator Wadada said he accepted Emmanuel Michael Umbugadu, saying his selection would strengthen the party’s efforts ahead of the upcoming elections.
For Emmanuel Michael Umbugadu, being selected from among other competent persons was an honour and a responsibility to further the course and interests of the APC across Nasarawa State.
The event also provided an opportunity for Blessing Ebuga to present her letter of withdrawal as the running mate to Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, paving the way for her replacement with Emmanuel Michael Umbugadu.
