Sule’s Administration Commended For Education Development
The Nasarawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the resumption of academic activities at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated this when the Forum of Professors of Nasarawa State Extraction paid him a familiarisation visit.
Reiterating that his administration is not relenting in its efforts to achieve breakthroughs in the education sector, Governor Abdullahi Sule appreciated the intellectuals for their contributions to different sectors of the development of Nasarawa State.
Expressing concern over the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff of Nasarawa State University, Governor Abdullahi Sule noted his administration’s commitment to meeting their demands to enable normal academic programmes to resume.
He commended the contributions of professors and other intellectuals to society, making a case for the sustenance of such contributions for the benefit of the people of Nasarawa State.
Leading the delegation, Professor Abdullahi Jibrin explained that the group had waded into the current issues confronting Nasarawa State University and commended the Governor for his efforts towards meeting the demands of university lecturers through sustained dialogue.
The delegation pledged to contribute its intellectual capacity to the development initiatives of the Nasarawa State Government.
The forum also deemed it necessary to recognise the Governor’s priority given to the development of education, as well as his efforts towards providing a platform for human capital development.
Formed in the year 2015, the Forum of Professors of Nasarawa State Extraction has over fifty professors cutting across different universities and institutions in Nigeria.
