Lands Commissioner Inspects Upgrade Of Ministry Complex
The Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul, has reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to providing a safe, well-equipped, and supportive work environment to boost productivity in the civil service.
The Commissioner made the commitment while leading the ministry’s management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the ongoing upgrade and expansion project of the Ministry Complex along Jos Road, Lafia.
The Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Yusuf Jibril Oshafu, and other directors, noted that the inspection visit to the ongoing project site was aimed at ascertaining the speed and quality of the work, as well as ensuring compliance with the project specifications.
Dr. Daniel Paul reiterated that the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration has focused greatly on infrastructural development across the state, including the construction of new edifices, renovation of offices, provision of modern office furniture, and connection of public offices to stable power supplies.
He also noted the prompt payment of monthly salaries and called on civil servants in the state to reciprocate the gesture by ensuring effective service delivery.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Yusuf Jibril Oshafu, commended the contractor handling the project for executing quality work and assured that the ministry would collaborate with the contractor to ensure adherence to the project’s specifications.
Speaking shortly after conducting the Commissioner and his team round the project, the Managing Director of GIS Transport Limited, the company handling the project, Engineer George Ghanem, appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision to upgrade the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning with modern facilities.
He promised that the company would maintain quality and ensure the timely completion of the project.
