See and Do FC of Keana has emerged champions of the Peace and Unity Tournament.
The team defeated Fly Tigers FC, also of Keana, 2-0 on penalties to clinch the trophy in a keenly contested match held at Keana Central Primary School, which showcased talent, sportsmanship, and the spirit of unity.
The final of the Peace and Unity Tournament saw See and Do FC of Keana trade tackles with Fly Tigers FC, also of Keana.
In the first half, Fly Tigers FC played to the admiration of their supporters. They exhibited great talent, with accurate passes and impressive dribbling skills that suggested they were on course to carry the day.
However, the momentum shifted in the second half as See and Do FC took total control of the match, pinning their opponents to their own half with sustained pressure.
Despite both sides creating clear chances, the match ended goalless after 90 minutes of regulation time, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.
In the shootout, See and Do FC converted two of their kicks, while Fly Tigers FC failed to score after missing two of their spot kicks.
The trophy and medals were later presented to the winners and runners-up by the organiser of the tournament, Barrister Joseph Atsevogo Maro, NDC House of Representatives Candidate for Awe, Doma and Keana Federal Constituency.
According to Barrister Maro, the tournament was a deliberate step towards promoting peace, unity, and youth development through sports.
