Jatau Hosts Eggon Movement, Sues for Unity
Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau has called for unity of purpose among ethnic nationalities for peace and development of the state.
The speaker made the call while hosting members of Eggon Movement For APC at the assembly complex.
The speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau since his emergence as the head of state legislature has been hosting socio political groups and the latest are the members of the Eggon Movement For APC comprising former and serving political office holders in the state.
Addressing them, the speaker said Nasarawa State is endowed with human and natural resources which if harnessed will transform the state but said that can only be possible if unity and harmonious leaving is giving priority by all nationalities in the state.
He informed his visitors that litigations are over and it is time for governance calling on the Eggon people in the state to support the government of Engineer Abdullahi Sule so as to enable it roll out more dividends of democracy to the people.
Speaker Jatau said Eggon people are known for peace, hard work, resilience and loyalty hence challenged them not to derail so as to contribute their quota to the development of Nasarawa State.
Leader of the delegation and Senior special Assistant to the governor, James Ali Mamzah said the leadership quality so far exhibited by the speaker, Danladi Jatau has brought recognition to the Eggon nation and urged him to sustain the momentum assuring of the loyalty of Eggon nation to the ruling party.
Also in the entourage was the first female lawmaker in the state, Mary Euwugulu who called on the speaker to operate an open door policy.
