COCIN Vice Chairman Preaches Total Submission As Solution To Problems
Vice Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations COCIN Regional Church Council of Lafia, Reverend Adamu Akadeh, says total submission to the will of God will change negative situations to positive.
He stated this during a special church service, held at COCIN Dadin Kowa Lafia to welcome Reverend Silas Monday Deshi, who has been transferred to Lafia.
The special church service which was in recognition of Reverend Silas Monday Deshi, who has been transferred to Lafia Church, according to Vice Chairman of COCIN Regional Council of Lafia, Reverend Adamu Akadeh, is to further strengthen the work of the gospel.
Reverend Akadeh used the medium to advise Nigerians to totally submit to the will of God amidst the current hardship bedeviling the country, and charged the newly transferred Reverend not to allow internal or external challenges to divert his attention in the discharge of his assigned responsibilities.
On his part, Reverend Silas Monday Deshi, who was transferred from the Local Church Council of Makurdi to Local Church Council of Lafia, aside appreciating members for welcoming him, called for collective prayers to enable the church work in accordance with the will of God,
In another development, as part of effort to commemorate the twenty-twenty four world Tuberculosis Day, and also to reduce the spread of the disease in Nasarawa State, Ministry of Health in conjunction with the Breakthrough Action Nigeria BAN and NKCV, took the campaign to ERCC Mount Sinai Bukan Sidi Lafia.
The team led by the State Programme Manager, Tuberculosis and Leprosy Controls, Dr. Simon Ovye Dogara, said they were at the church with a view to sensitizing and educating the Christian community on causes, effects as well as preventive measures against the scourge, just as free testing and medication were administered.
