Students Palliative: NSUK Constitutes Committee To Investigate Stampede
The authorities of Nasarawa State University Keffi say a committee has been constituted to investigate the stampede that resulted to the death of two students of the Institution.
Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed Stated this while receiving members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology, who were there identify with the university.
On Friday, 22nd of March 2024, some students of the Nasarawa State University lost their lives as a result of a stampede during palliative distribution and this explains why the Nasarawa State House of Assembly committee on Education visited the management for condolence.
Playing host to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly committee on Education, the Vice Chancellor, Nasarawa State University Keffi, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed said two students lost their lives while 7 others hospitalized over stampede during palliative distribution in the institution.
While appreciating the state assembly for identifying with the university over the unfortunate incident, Said a committee has been constituted to investigate the stampede that resulted to the death of students of the station.
Earlier, Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology Abel Yakubu Bala said that the condolence visit was to sympathize with the university over the death of the tudents and others who were injured during palliative distribution in the institution.
The Deputy Majority Leader used the medium to assure the university of the House readiness to continue to prioritize the education sector in the state.
