Speaker Jatau Partners LGAs Chairmen on Curbing Insecurity

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau has called for collaborative efforts in order to find lasting solution to security challenges being experienced across the state.
The speaker made the call during a security meeting with chairmen of the thirteen local government council which took place behind closed doors.
The Speaker while addressing the LG Chairmen said he was directed by Governor Abdullahi Sule to synergize with them to find lasting solution to the security challenges facing their Local Government Areas with a view to providing solutions.
While commending Gov. Sule for his proactiveness in tackling insecurity and promoting peace in the state, the speaker called on the people of the state to live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations and sympathized with people of Katakpa and it’s surrounding in Toto LG over the attack in their communities and appealed to the warring parties in Toto LGA to sheath their swords for peace to reign.
Responding, Aminu Muazu Maifata, the State ALGON Chairman and Chairman Lafia LG who doubled as the National president of ALGON appreciated the state assembly for the cordial relationship between them and thanked Gov. Sule for always coming to the aid of Local Government Areas in the State, especially in the area of tackling insecurity.
The meeting later ended behind closed doors for briefings by the local government chairmen.
Briefing journalists thereafter, member representing Doma South constituency and Chairman, House Committee on LG and Chieftaincy Affairs Musa Ibrahim Abubakar said they discussed extensively on the security situations in the 13 LGAs saying there would be improvement in the security situations in the LGAs across the State very soon.
Meanwhile, the speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau played host to Association of Beauty Queens and Kings of Nigeria who solicited for a tourism related bill by the house, an appeal the speaker said would be considered just as they presented an award to him.
