As the local government council elections approach, the Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aliyu Bello, has assured party stakeholders that the party will continue to develop innovative strategies to ensure free, fair, and credible elections across the thirteen local government areas.

Bello made this statement during an expanded stakeholders meeting held at the Aliyu Akwe Banquet Hall.

The meeting attended by former and current federal and state government officials was to explore initiatives aimed at strengthening the party’s development and enhancing its competitiveness in upcoming elections.

Expressing satisfaction with the outcomes of the meeting, Aliyu Bello explained that under his leadership, the APC is committed to creating a level playing field for all its members.

The Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress also welcomed the recent defection of Senator Solomon Ewuga and two state assembly members to the ruling APC, noting that measures will be put in place to reconcile any grievances among party members to foster a supportive environment.

Bello announced the official commencement of the sale of nomination forms for both chairperson and councilor positions, which will run from November 8 to November 9, 2024.

According to him, the nomination form for the chairmanship is priced at five million naira, with an additional one million naira for the expression of interest form while for councilor positions, the nomination form costs one and a half million naira, with the expression of interest form set at four hundred thousand naira.
