October 10th marks World Mental Health Day, a global initiative to raise awareness and promote mental health support. To commemorate this day, Chelsea captain Millie Bright has courageously shared her personal struggles with mental health.

Breaking the Silence

Bright, a talented and accomplished footballer, revealed her experiences with anxiety and depression. She hopes that by speaking out, she can inspire others to do the same and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Partnership with YoungMinds

Bright has partnered with YoungMinds, a leading UK-based charity focused on children and young people’s mental health. Together, they aim to:

  1. Encourage open conversations about mental health
  2. Provide resources and support for struggling individuals
  3. Promote mental wellness in sports and beyond

Bright’s Message

“I want to show that even in the toughest moments, there’s always hope,” Bright said. “I’ve learned to prioritize my mental health, and I want others to feel empowered to do the same.”

YoungMinds’ CEO

“We’re thrilled to have Millie Bright on board,” said Emma Thomas, CEO of YoungMinds. “Her bravery will inspire countless young people to speak out and seek help.”
