National Hospital Abuja Lauds Nasarawa State Government’s Support for Vulnerable Children’s Healthcare
The National Hospital Abuja has expressed gratitude to the Nasarawa State Government for its commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of vulnerable children.
Dr. Salamatu Ibrahim, a consultant pediatric surgeon, commended the state government’s efforts during a free medical surgery outreach at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia.
The outreach, conducted in collaboration with the Global Initiative for Peace, Love, and Care (GIPLC) and the Pediatric Surgical Department of the National Hospital Abuja, provided 23 surgeries for children suffering from umbilical hernia and inguinal hernia.
These children were unable to afford the surgeries due to financial constraints.
Dr. Ibrahim emphasized the importance of sustained partnership, citing the numerous children requiring assistance with correctable health challenges.
Commissioner Princess Margaret Itake Elayo encouraged Abawa Masud Usman to continue attracting support for the less privileged, praising his efforts in securing GIPLC’s and Nuhu Fulani Kwajafa’s backing.
Beneficiaries Shedrack Mathias and Bature Yusuf thanked the sponsors, calling on others to emulate their kindness.
This initiative demonstrates the Nasarawa State Government’s dedication to healthcare, aligning with the state’s health sector goals.
