Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic Reaffirms Commitment to Girl Child Education and Women Empowerment

Dr. Nurudeen Muazu Maifata, Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, has reiterated the institution’s dedication to partnering with women’s groups that promote girl child education in the state.

This pledge was made during a visit from leaders and members of the Kwararafa Women Association Worldwide at his office.

Dr. Maifata emphasized the vital role women’s education plays in societal development, affirming the polytechnic’s commitment to prioritizing girl child education and supporting initiatives that empower young women.

He commended the Kwararafa Women Association Worldwide for their advocacy of peace and unity, highlighting the significant improvements made under Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s administration, which have enhanced the institution’s learning environment.

The Rector encouraged the women’s group to promote technical education and skills acquisition among girls, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to national development.

He urged the women to encourage their daughters to embrace modesty in their appearance and pursue both religious and Western education.

Hajiya Kaltumi Usman Ogah, leader of the Kwararafa Women Association Worldwide, explained that their visit aimed to recognize Dr. Maifata’s achievements since his appointment and inform him of the association’s mission focused on promoting peace and empowering women in society.

During the visit, the women honored Dr. Maifata and Dr. Muktar Wakeel, the institution’s Director of Information and Protocol, with traditional Kwararafa attire.

Dr. Wakeel expressed gratitude for the association’s recognition.

This partnership underscores Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for women’s education and empowerment.
