Measles Alert: Nasarawa State Launches 2024 Immunization Campaign
As Nasarawa State gears up for its 2024 measles campaign, parents and stakeholders have been advised to ensure their children complete the full immunization schedule against vaccine-preventable diseases.
This call to action was made by Dr. Usman Iskilu Sale, Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, during a one-day engagement meeting with religious and traditional leaders, as well as other community stakeholders.
Dr. Sale emphasized the crucial role traditional and religious leaders play in the successful implementation of campaigns against vaccine-preventable diseases.
He encouraged them to sustain their efforts to protect children from deadly diseases.
The meeting aimed to secure community leaders’ support in taking ownership of vaccination processes, ensuring children are adequately vaccinated during and after the forthcoming measles campaign.
