Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Chairman Seeks Cooperation for Development

Barrister Iliya Ibn Aliyu, the newly inaugurated Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Council, has appealed for cooperation and support from residents to bring about much-needed development in the area. During his inaugural speech, Aliyu emphasized the importance of peace and unity in attracting sustainable development.

The Director of Personal Management, Usman Egya, handed over the council’s affairs to Aliyu, marking the beginning of his tenure ¹. Retired Justice Ahmad Ubangari Alaku, the Aren Eggon, advised Aliyu to focus on delivering democracy’s dividends to citizens.

Aliyu’s visit to the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute demonstrated his commitment to youth empowerment. Dr. Daniel Ewuga Asele, the Institute’s Executive Director, expressed readiness to partner with the council to develop skills among Nasarawa Eggon youths.
