Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board Urges Afo People to Prioritize Girl-Child Education

Doctor Hashiya Ahmed, Secretary of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, has emphasized the importance of girl-child education in Afo community during an event organized by the National leadership of Afo Women Emeneligesu Association in Lafia.

The event was held to honor Agbawu Mek Agbawu, the newly elected Chairman of Kokona Local Government Council. Doctor Ahmed stressed that investing in girl-child education is crucial for their future and urged Afo parents to prioritize their daughters’ education.

The National President of AfoImeneLikpakwaLigesu, Comrade Katimw Suleiman Oga, explained that the event aimed to identify with Agbawu Mek Agbawu, the new Chairman of Kokona Local Government.

In response, Mrs. Roda Agbawu, wife of the Chairman and Director of Nurses Services, appreciated the association’s support and assured the women of better days ahead.
