Muslims Urged to Pray for Leaders and Community Development
Chief Imam of Madagwan Hausawa Central Mosque, Malam Muhammad Yusuf Sani, emphasized the importance of Muslims praying for their leaders’ success and the community’s peace and development during a recent Juma’at prayer. He stressed that leadership comes from Allah, and therefore, leaders deserve respect.
Key Principles Emphasized:
- Respect for Leaders: Islam teaches adherents to pray and be loyal to their leaders, as long as they don’t contradict Allah’s path.
- Loyalty and Obedience: Muslims should shun harmful behavior and maintain trustworthy, honest relationships.
- Community Development: Prayers were offered for the community’s peace and development.
The village head, Idris Muhammad Ahmad, also appealed to the state government to address pressing infrastructure needs, including road construction and access to portable water. This would alleviate transportation challenges, boost farming, enhance security, and attract development to the community.
Infrastructure Needs:
- Road Construction: Linking Madagwan Hausawa to Lafia-Doma road.
- Portable Water: Providing clean water to prevent waterborne diseases.
During the prayer, special supplications were made for the successful tenure of local government leaders, including Muhammad Haliru Arabo, Uba Arikya, and Hudu Yahaya Sabo.
In Islam, prayer is a fundamental expression of devotion and connection among Muslims worldwide. The daily prayers serve as a reminder of Allah and the many opportunities to seek guidance and forgiveness.
