Kwararafa Women Association Urges Women to Become Peace Ambassadors
The Kwararafa Women Association, Nasarawa State Chapter, has called on women to become peace ambassadors, promoting harmony and unity among different ethnic and religious groups. This appeal was made by Kaltimi Suleiman Ogah, Chairperson of the Association, during their 2024 end-of-year annual meeting in Lafia.
The Kwararafa Women Association, founded by Mrs. Helen Omeche Agbo, aims to foster peace, unity, and empowerment among women. With a presence in six states, including Nasarawa, the association brings together women from over 11 ethnic groups.
Kaltimi Suleiman Ogah emphasized that the association is open to all ethnic groups, seeking to address challenges posed by tribalism and religious sentiments. The association also focuses on economic empowerment, encouraging women to generate revenue and contribute to their communities.
Key Objectives of the Association

Members of the association, Ladi Ogah and Patience Fada, expressed gratitude for Governor Abdullahi Sule’s support for women’s affairs and the association’s efforts to empower women through skills and vocational training.
