Lafia Local Government Council Plans Rural Development Projects
The Lafia Local Government Council has announced plans to embark on projects that will positively impact the lives of rural dwellers. Chairman Muhammad Haliru Arabo made this known during the third-year anniversary celebration of the village head of Madagwan Hausawa, Idris Muhammad Ahmad.
Arabo, represented by his deputy Ahmad Uba Arikya, assured that the council is committed to providing the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots. He also called on the people to respect constituted authorities and support their leaders.
The village head, Idris Muhammad Ahmad, appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to construct the road linking Madagwan Hausawa to Lafia-Doma road, easing the transportation of farm produce. Ahmad also presented clothes to orphans, highlighting the need for support to enable them have a sense of belonging.
The event featured recitation of the Qur’an and special prayers for leaders and the community. The council’s plans align with its role as a tool for rural development, aiming to improve the lives of rural dwellers.
