Nasarawa Speaker Urges Nigerians to Pray for Divine Wisdom to Address National Challenges

Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has called on Nigerians to pray for divine wisdom to enable leaders at all levels to address the challenges facing the country. This appeal was made during a meeting with officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria Women Wing, led by Chairperson Victoria Yakubu, at the state assembly.

Jatau acknowledged the daunting challenges facing the nation but expressed optimism that with divine wisdom, leaders can find solutions. He emphasized the need for Nigerians to pray for their leaders instead of criticizing them, as this would enable them to make informed decisions and drive positive change.

The speaker also seized the opportunity to solicit support for the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, highlighting the governor’s efforts to reshape the state’s economy and unlock its potential.

In addition, Jatau stressed the importance of sports in promoting unity and strengthening bonds among diverse ethnic groups in the state. He made this call while receiving the 2024 ECOWAS Most Sporting House of Assembly Speaker award, emphasizing that sports should be seen as a platform to promote unity in diversity, rather than just an occupation.

As part of his efforts to promote sports and unity, Jatau annually organizes football competitions in Kokona Local Government Area, providing opportunities for local players to participate in international trials in Ghana. ECOWAS Coordinator Victor Fatodu appreciated Jatau’s support for sponsoring players to participate in ECOWAS football competitions.
