Mai Loko FC Emerges Champion of Turakin Loko Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2025

In an exciting finale, Mai Loko Football Club (FC) has been crowned the champion of the seventh edition of the Turakin Loko Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2025. The final match took place over the weekend, with Mai Loko FC facing off against Oguma United.

The match was an intense contest, with Zubairu Yakubu of Mai Loko FC scoring the first goal within just ten minutes of play. Despite a strong challenge from Oguma United, Mai Loko FC secured a 2-0 victory, with Abdul Kaka scoring the second goal in the second half.

The tournament, organized to promote unity and youth development, was attended by sports enthusiasts, including the CEO of Maikaya Development Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Musa Maikaya, and the Accountant General of Nasarawa state, Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammad.

Dr. Musa Maikaya emphasized the role of sports in promoting unity and development, announcing plans to collaborate with the Turakin Loko Talent Hunt Football Tournament to achieve set objectives. He pledged to continue initiating ideas that would benefit the youths of Nasarawa State.

Adamu Abdul Loko, the convener of the tournament, stated that the event was organized to engage unemployed youths and promote sporting activities in rural communities. The tournament ended with the presentation of prizes to the best player, best goalkeeper, highest goal scorer, and the top three teams, who received bank cheques.
