Nasarawa State House of Assembly Unveils New Commissioner Nominees

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has officially announced the new commissioner nominees submitted by Governor Abdullahi Sule for confirmation. This highly anticipated list comprises both returning and new members, presented during a session of the Assembly.

Governor Sule is seeking to reinstate six of the 17 commissioners he had previously dissolved earlier this year. The returning nominees include:

Kwanta Yakubu
Princess Margaret Elayo
Munirat Abdullahi
Dr. John Mamma
Dr. Gaza Gwamna
Mu’azu Gosho

Among the 10 new nominees are two former state lawmakers:

Tanko Tunga, former Majority Leader
Mohammed Agah Muluku

Other notable nominees include:

Mu’azu Aminu Maifata, former Chairman of Lafia Local Government
Mohammed Sani Ottos, former Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government
Gabriel Agbashi
Isaac Danladi Amadu
Dr. Ibrahim Tanko
Retired Commissioner of Police Usman Baba
Barrister David Moyi
Barrister Jugbo Hauwa Samuel

The list includes three women, with Lafia, Doma, and Wamba each having two nominees, while the remaining 10 local governments each have one nominee. All nominees are expected to appear next week for screening and possible confirmation by the Assembly.
