The Nasarawa State Ministry for Water Resources and Rural Development is set to begin supervising rural road projects across the state. This announcement was made by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Alhaji Mohammed Aga Muluku, during a familiarization visit to the Bureau for Rural Development in Lafia.

The visit aimed to gather firsthand information on the challenges facing agencies under the Ministry, with the goal of addressing them. Alhaji Muluku emphasized the importance of the bureau’s staff redoubling their efforts to fulfill the mandate of Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s administration, which focuses on opening up rural communities for economic prosperity.

To ensure the successful implementation of rural road projects, the Ministry will conduct site visits to verify that the projects meet specified standards and are completed on time, in line with contractual agreements. The Commissioner urged everyone to support the government of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, which he believes has the best interests of the state’s people at heart.

During the visit, the Director General of the bureau, represented by the Head of Administration, Haruna Dogara, informed the Commissioner about the ongoing construction of several roads, including Ribi-Janwa, Keana-Abuni, Udege-Agwada, and Assakio-Tungan Nupawa. These projects, which are at various stages of completion, aim to facilitate smooth transportation of goods and services in the affected areas, ultimately improving the lives of people in these communities and beyond.
