The Deputy Chief Imam of Juma’at Mosque behind NBS Tudun Kauri in Lafia, Usman Shitu, has called on Muslims to strictly adhere to the teachings of the Glorious Quran in order to earn God’s eternal reward in the hereafter. He made this appeal during a two-unit Juma’at prayer service.

While leading the congregational prayer, Imam Shitu highlighted the destructive nature of rumor-mongering, gossiping, and backbiting, which he noted can tarnish a Muslim’s reputation. He warned the faithful against engaging in these behaviors, emphasizing that they are contrary to Islamic teachings.

The Imam cautioned those who spread false information about others to desist from such actions, warning that they risk facing eternal condemnation. Instead, he urged believers to promote the values of Islam through their actions and to nurture good relationships with family, friends, and loved ones.

Imam Shitu emphasized that individuals who exhibit good character are blessed by God. By adhering to the teachings of the Quran and adopting virtuous behavior, Muslims can earn God’s favor and secure a rewarding afterlife.
