Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the nutritional well-being of infants and children in the state. This commitment was underscored during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of professional kits to frontline health workers and nutritional pap to children aged six to fifty-nine months.

Governor Sule emphasized that his administration prioritizes creating a nutritious society, recognizing the benefits it brings to infant, child, and maternal health. The distribution of Kwash, a new nutritional supplement, is part of an initiative aimed at addressing malnutrition issues in the state.

The Governor highlighted that his administration’s focus on healthcare is evident in its investments in the sector. Alongside the distribution of nutritional pap, professional kits are being presented to frontline health workers to enhance their effectiveness.

Governor Sule expressed gratitude to the State Deputy Governor, healthcare specialists, and other stakeholders for their contributions to the initiative. The State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Gaza Gwamna, and the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Usman Iskilu, pledged their support for the government’s healthcare investments.

Other notable attendees, including the Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council, Mohammed Haliru Arabo, and the Sarkin Kwandare, contributed to the flag-off ceremony, highlighting the collaborative effort to improve healthcare outcomes in Nasarawa State.
