The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Kwanta Yakubu, has distributed fertilizers to 11 APC ward chairmen and over 250 small-scale farmers in Akwanga Local Government Area. This initiative aims to support agricultural development and grassroots empowerment.

The distribution exercise took place at Angwan Ruwa, Ningo Bohar Electoral Ward, where Commissioner Yakubu emphasized the importance of improving food production and supporting farmers at the grassroots level. He stated that this intervention is part of the state’s commitment to achieving food security under the Agricultural Transformation Scheme, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule.
