Financial Capacity Building: NASHIA Trains Staff

The Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) has taken a significant step towards improving productivity and financial management capacity among its workforce. In collaboration with the Society for Education Advocacy and Research in Health and Medplus Medical and Pharmaceutical Services Limited, NASHIA organized a two-day workshop on financial management for its staff.

The workshop, held at the Nasarawa Luxury Hotel in Lafia, brought together experts and staff members to share knowledge and best practices. Dr. Yahaya Bawa Ubam, Executive Secretary of NASHIA, emphasized the importance of the training in improving the agency’s financial management.

“Effective financial management is crucial for the success of our health insurance programs,” Dr. Ubam said. “This training will enable our staff to plan and budget effectively, leading to increased revenue and better services for our enrollees.”
