APC Chairman Dr. Aliyu Bello Reaffirms Commitment to Internal Democracy Ahead of Local Government Elections

Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, has reiterated the party’s commitment to upholding electoral guidelines to strengthen internal democracy. This declaration came during a meeting at the party secretariat on Wednesday night, where he received the report from the Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship Screening Committee, led by Barrister Mohammed Alkali.

Dr. Bello emphasized that under his leadership, the APC would strictly adhere to constitutional provisions to ensure a seamless electoral process for the upcoming local government council elections in the state. He expressed gratitude to the committee members for their dedication and timely completion of the candidate screening.

Renewing the party’s vow to field credible candidates, Bello urged all aspirants for chairmanship and councillorship positions to accept the screening outcomes with an open mind, highlighting that the submission of the report marks a significant milestone in the electoral process.

Barrister Mohammed Alkali, chairman of the screening committee, expressed appreciation to Dr. Bello for entrusting them with the assignment, assuring him that the screening was conducted impartially and without bias.
