In a bid to enhance the capacity of its staff and protect its equipment, the Management of Nasarawa State Water Board has commenced a 14-day training program on electrical engineering. The training, which focuses on various aspects of electrical engineering, aims to equip participants with the requisite knowledge and skills to handle their gadgets effectively.

The training program covers a range of topics, including electrical measuring instruments, electrical protective devices, circuit design, circuit wiring, auto transformer starter circuits, and more. According to the General Manager of the Nasarawa State Water Board, Geologist Ahmad Kana Abubakar, the training is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of the participants, enabling them to deliver effective services.

Geologist Abubakar noted that the training is a significant step towards improving the capacity of the Water Board’s staff, which has not received training since the creation of the state. He emphasized that the training would help reduce economic wastage and promote professionalism in the quest to provide portable water to the people of Nasarawa State.

The Director of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Aliyu Inarigu, described the training as timely, explaining that it would expose the staff to mastering technical aspects of their daily activities. Engineer Kudu Bagudu, a resource person from the Federal University of Technology Minna, revealed that participants are expected to practice what they learn during the training as professionals.

One of the participants, Engineer Hauwa Isa Oshafu, expressed appreciation to the management of the Water Board for the opportunity to refresh their knowledge. The training is expected to have a positive impact on the operations of the Nasarawa State Water Board, enabling the staff to provide better services to the people of the state.
