Gov Sule Swears-in New Permanent Secretaries
Governor Abdullahi Sule says his administration will continue to pursue policies and programmes that are aimed at meeting the socio-economic needs of Nasarawa State.
The Governor said this during the inauguration of four new Permanent Secretaries as well as the Chairman and Member of the Nasarawa State Disabilities Rights Commission.
The appointment and subsequent inauguration of Idris Umar Idris, Mohammed Ibrahim Otaki, Umar Abdullahi, and Paulinus Felix Wahe as Permanent Secretaries by Governor Abdullahi Sule were deliberate towards rigging the machinery of government.
Having sworn to be of excellent conduct in the discharge of their responsibility, Governor Abdullahi Sule however tasked the new Permanent Secretaries to be prudent and accountable in the management of government resources among other positive conducts.
Similarly, Inaugurating Saleh Barde Keana as Chairman alongside side other members of the Nasarawa State Disabilities Rights Commission, Governor Abdullahi Sule, affirmed that the gesture was informed by his administration’s commitment to ensuring inclusivity.
He explained that the state government is keen on ensuring the opportunities are open to persons living with disabilities as well as other viable options to acquire functional skills.
Even as the event provided an avenue for the Governor to further reiterate his commitment to the welding of the people, Idris Umar Idris responded on behalf of the appointees.
In another development, the Aid De Camp to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Hassan Adamu has been decorated with his new rank of Superintendent of Police.
The exercise was carried out in the Presence of the State Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada. Meantime, the Governor also paid an inspection visit to the new secretariat complex along Shemdam Road in Lafia as work has reached an appreciable level.
