In a proactive move to enhance educational standards, the Senior Special Assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor on Education, Abubakar Idris Adamu has called for action among teachers in the state to complement government efforts in delivering quality education to students.

He stated this during an unscheduled visit to Government College Lafia.

Echoing Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to prioritizing education in the state, the Senior Special Assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor on Education, Abubakar Idris Adamu underscored the vital need for teachers to demonstrate dedication in their roles to achieve optimal results.

He said the impromptu visit to Government College Lafia aimed to gauge the level of commitment among staff and students while cautioning against lateness and absenteeism, which could tarnish the school’s reputation and effectiveness.

Praising the principal and staff for their positive impact on students, Adamu used the opportunity to urge students to deepen their dedication to their studies.

 Addressing concerns about teachers’ welfare and the dire need for renovations of classrooms at Government College Lafia, the governor’s aide assured that the state government is actively formulating strategies to address these issues for the advancement of the education sector in the state.

The Principal of Government College Lafia Husseini Michael Kuju described the visit as a positive step towards achieving quality education and ensure academic excellence for all students.
