Human Capital Development Proposes Voluntary Retirement for Attractive Packages
The Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency says it is taking proactive steps to enhance productivity among the state workforce by introducing a proposal for voluntary retirement with attractive packages.
The Director General of the Agency, Habiba Sulaiman, stated this during an in-house training session at the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service Lafia.
Recognizing the pressing issue of underperformance within the state’s workforce, the Director General, Human Capital Development Agency Habiba Sulaiman, highlighted the need to address the lackadaisical attitude that is affecting efficiency in service delivery.
Emphasizing the crucial role played by the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service in informing and engaging the public, the DG of the Human Capital Development Agency underscored the significance of the ongoing training for NBS staff.
“Plans are underway to tackle redundancy within the civil service to streamline operations and enhance overall effectiveness”.
During the training session, Executive Vice Chairman of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Awwalu Salihu, stressed the importance of continuous learning and adaptation to modern trends in the dynamic field of broadcasting.
He encouraged staff to actively participate in training programs to improve service delivery.
Mr. Aloko Flashman, the General Manager of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, expressed his gratitude to the government for facilitating the training and urged staff members to collaborate for further enhancements in service delivery.
The Director of planning, Research, and Statistics at Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Patricia Akawu, who also chaired the organizing committee for the in-house training, emphasized the inclusive nature of the training program, catering to all staff levels for the purpose of enhancing service quality in the civil service.
Also speaking, one of the resource persons retired Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Dr. Musa Abdullahi, encouraged participants to engage with the resource persons effectively to achieve the desired outcomes.
