FC Barcelona Sacked Xavier Hernandez
Barcelona football club has announced the sacking of Head Coach Xavi Hernandez today after a meeting with the president of the club Joan Laporta at the Ciutat Espotiva, Friday.
The statement read in part “Fc Barcelona would like to thank Vaxi for his work as coach which adds to an unparalleled career as a player and captain of the team and wishes him all the luck in the world”
It would be recalled that Xavi took over Barcelona after terminating his contract with Al-sadd a Qatari side in 2022.
He managed 141 matches in which he won 89, draw 23 and lost 29. Xavi equally won One laliga tittle and one Spanish super cup as coach.
Xavi will lead Barcelona in the last laliga game of the season 2023/2024 against Sevilla on Sunday.
Barcelona to announce the new head coach in the coming days.
