Islamic Cleric Encourages Increased Worship During Dhul Hijjah

Islamic cleric Ustaz AbuZaid Hamza has urged Muslims to enhance their worship during the month of Dhul Hijjah in the Islamic Lunar calendar.

Ustaz AbuZaid Hamza stated this while delivering Friday sermon at Masjid Dawood located behind City Hall in Lafia.

The chief Imam Ustaz AbuZaid Hamza stressed the importance of the month of Dhul Hijjah in the Islamic lunar calendar, stating that Almighty Allah has designated certain months and days as more auspicious, with multiplied rewards for acts of worship as a mercy towards His followers.

Encouraging the Muslim community to make the most of this sacred time, Ustaz AbuZaid advised them to engage in various righteous deeds to earn blessings from God.

Particularly emphasizing the last ten days of Dhul Hijjah, known for their abundance of rewards, the Islamic cleric recommended fasting on the Day of Arafat, increased supplication, acts of charity, Quran recitation, and avoiding sinful behavior to avoid divine retribution.

Ustaz AbuZaid called on Muslims to seek the blessings of the month by praying for the country’s leadership to prioritize economic growth and development, aiming to alleviate the hardships faced by citizens.
