First Lady of Nasarawa State Emphasizes Importance of Women’s Health Care
The Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule, has advised women to prioritize their reproductive health care and family planning.
She made these remarks while hosting a delegation from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Chapter at the Government House.
In line with its efforts to raise awareness about family planning, the State Coordinator of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Pharmacist Nwora Okpalaeke, commended the present administration’s dedication to ensuring access to quality healthcare for all.
Celebrating the Abdullahi Sule administration for completing one year into his second term in office, Emeka Okafor, the Country Director of the Society for Family Health, explained that in the last two years, over 40,000 women received family planning services, and 29,000 children were treated for malaria and diarrhea.
Highlighting the importance of family planning beyond birth-related complications for both mothers and babies, Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule emphasized the long-term benefits.
She expressed gratitude to the council for their visit and assured that her office would continue to collaborate with organizations to ensure quality healthcare services for women and children in the state.
