Hasetins Commodities Campany Flags off road construction in Uke as part of its social responsibility.

The Yakanaji of Uke, Doctor Ahmad Abdullahi Hassan has called on Private Companies operating in Nasarawa State to endeavor to embark on Corporate Social Responsibility that will add value on the lives of people.

He made the call during the commencement of a construction project by mining company, Hasetins Commodities, involving the development of over three kilometers of road connecting rural communities in Uke, Karu Local Government Area.

The road construction, flagged off by the Yakanaji of Uke, is set to benefit residents of Angwan Mainasara, Angwan Mekeri, and other villages within Karu Local Government Area, enhancing local economic activities.

The Yakanaje of Uke Dr. Ahmad Abdullahi Hassan highlighted the positive impact of corporate social responsibility emphasizing the importance of supporting farming activities and overall community well-being.

Representative of , Hasetins Commodities, Mr. Peter Butt said that in addition to road construction, the company has installed boreholes in the communities as part of their social responsibility commitments.

He said the company will continue to prioritize infrastructure development, skill-building programs, and employment opportunities for women and youths within the communities, fostering self-reliance and empowerment.

Acknowledging the significance of private sector involvement in rural development, Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development Bala Mulki, through his representative Abubakar Jawal, lauded Hasetins Commodities for their collaborative efforts with the government and encouraged community members to reciprocate the goodwill for mutual benefit.

Engineer Hassan Abdullahi shared insights into the company’s decision to engage in community development initiatives, highlighting Uke’s strategic importance and the diverse composition of its residents and appreciated the support from stakeholders.
