Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Recognized for Dedication to Second Term Success

The Alago APC Forum has honoured Nasarawa State Deputy Governor and other illustrious members with an unwavering commitment to making the second tenure of the present administration a huge success.

Chairman of the Forum, David Ayewa made the remarks during a civic reception organised by the forum at the First Crown Luxury Hotel Lafia.

According to the Chairman of Alago APC Forum, Mr. David Ayewa the honour done to the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe alongside the former High Commissioner to the Republic of Sierra Leone, Ambassador Henry Omaku, Member of the House of Representatives, Hassan Nalaraba, his state Assembly counterpart, Mohammed Omadefu and the Chairman of Doma Local Government Council, Architect Ahmed Sarki is highly deserving.

Ayewa added that their decision to honour the five Alago APC political office holders is in recognition of their laudable contributions to the progress of the state, saying the Alago nation is proud of their individual achievements and pledged not to renege in their unwavering commitment to ensure the success of the state Deputy Governor and his Principal, Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Former Governor of the state Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura and the Senators representing Nasarawa South and West Senatorial Districts, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo and Ahmed Aliyu Wadada described the civic reception for the honorees as well deserving, considering their pedigree, dedication to duty and penchant for success, noting that they have all shown capacity in their respective places of jurisdiction.

They trio who equally spoke the mind of the state APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello called on the Alago people to avoid sentiments in politics, maintain unity and cohesion as well as demonstrate high sense of responsibility in their dealings.

Guest Speaker at the occasion, Barrister Mustapha Galadima in a paper highlighted the political trajectory of the Alago nation, bringing several factors that retarded progress of the people and stressed the need for them to shun divisive tendencies.

The Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe who was decorated alongside other honourees with traditional attire as a mark of honour, underscored the role of the Alago APC Forum, other notable stakeholders and party stalwarts in their ascendency, appealing for the sustenance of the support extended to their administration.

Meantime, the deputy governor was a special guest at the launch of Omagye Alago Dictionary at the Tazu Hotel and Suites, where he commended the author, Aliyu Amegwa Omama for producing the linguistic document which according to him, will stand the test of time, just as he made a pledge of ten million Naira for the production of more copies.
