State Government Applauds Religious Institutions for Promoting Peaceful Coexistence
Nasarawa State Government has applauded religious institutions for playing critical role in promoting peaceful coexistence in the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Christian Religious Matters, Venerable Jibraila Yarima, gave the applause during a statewide familiarization visit to the heads of Christian denominations across the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Christian Religious Matters, Venerable Jibraila Yarima, accompanied by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Interfaith, Reverend Moses Amagbo and Special Assistant to the Governor on Christian Matters, Daniel Ayiwa, visited head quarters of Christian denominations in Lafia, Akwanga, Nasarawa and Keffi Local Government Areas respectively.
In Lafia, the team was in COCIN headquarters, Living Faith, Word of God World Wide Gospel City and Benue Nasarawa Baptist Conference, while in Akwanga, Nasarawa and Keffi, the team visited ECWA, COCIN and Assemblies of God Church in that order.
During the visit, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Christian Religious Matters, Venerable Jibraila Yarima along with members of his entourage, said the visit was to intimate Christian community on the need to promote religious harmony, which they said is key to fostering rapid development in the state.
While promising to forward report of their engagements to the Governor for necessary action, the Governor’s aides, advocated unity among members of Christian community to enhance the growth of their faith and the development of the society.
Jibraila said Governor Abdullahi Sule, is person that has religious tolerance, he love peace, he has passion to see people are living in peace
All the heads of Christian denominations visited across the state, apart from appreciating Governor Abdullahi Sule for the initiative, applauded his developmental and peaceful disposition, promising to support him with prayers to succeed.
