President Tinubu Inaugurates Balarabe as Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated the governing council of tertiary institutions and warned them against interfering with existing laws establishing tertiary institutions in the country. 

Among those inaugurated was the former Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who was appointed Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State. 

National University Commission Abuja was beehive of activities Thursday as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated the governing Councils of tertiary institutions with a task on them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the education sector. 

Represented by the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Maman, the president congratulated the Governing Councils Chairmen and challenged them to always abide by the laws establishing their respective institutions in the interest of peace and the overall development of the education sector. 

 Among those inaugurated was the former speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as the chairman Governing Council of federal Polytechnic Damaturu Yobe state where the current speaker of the state Danladi Jatau led former and serving lawmakers to identify with the appointee. 

Jatau appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing his predecessor, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Yobe State, expressing hope that the former Speaker would use his wealth of experience to add value to the development of polytechnic education in the country. 

Also commending the appointment of Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Aliyu Tijani Ahmed joined serving and former state lawmakers and other stakeholders in congratulating former speaker and wished him well in his new appointment. 

On his part, the appointee, the former speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding him worthy of the appointment and pledged to add value to the institution.
