Islamic Cleric Urges Government to Implement Policies that will Cushion Economic Hardship
The Chief Imam of Doma Central Juma’at Mosque, Malam Yahaya Adam, has urged governments at all levels to implement policies and programs that would support Nigerians facing economic challenges.
Delivering a sermon at the Doma mosque today, the Islamic cleric highlighted the financial difficulties many Nigerians are currently experiencing.
The Chief Imam of Doma Central Mosque Malam Yahaya Adam underscored the importance of government intervention to address inflation and alleviate the hardships faced by citizens.
He further called on governmental bodies to establish additional social welfare programs to assist the less fortunate in the society.
Malam Yahaya Adam also encouraged affluent individuals and non-governmental organizations to intensify efforts in providing assistance for the betterment of Nigerians stressing the necessity for all stakeholders to work together in lowering the prices of essential goods that have surged in the market.
Quoting verses from the Quran and Hadith, the Chief Imam said positive change can occur when people strive for it and urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith for better outcomes.
Malam Yahaya Adam reminded the Muslim community of the importance of observing prayers at the prescribed times, warning of the consequences for those who neglect this fundamental duty.
