A Call for Cooperation to Tackle Economic Hardship
An Islamic cleric Ustaz Abuzaid Abdulkareem Hamza has called for collaborative effort to tackle the economic challenges facing the country.
He made the call while delivering Friday sermon at the Dawood Mosque behind City Hall in Lafia.
Delivering the sermon sermon, which focused on the struggles that many Nigerians currently endure, Ustaz Abuzaid Abdulkareem Hamza emphasized that the responsibility of finding a solution is not the responsibility of government alone insisting that it requires a collaborative approach from all citizens.
Ustaz Hamza said as Muslims, there’s the need to see every circumstance be it comfort or hardship as a test from God, encouraging individuals to increase their acts of worship and supplications during the trying times.
The chief imam highlighted the importance of wealthier Nigerians taking an active role in supporting their communities saying that assisting neighbors and fellow citizens is a fundamental principle of Islam that can help ease the suffering of many.
Ustaz Hamza called on the government to formulate policies aimed at resolving economic issues decisively and urged people of the state to refrain from protests that could disrupt societal peace and harmony, emphasizing the need for constructive dialogue instead.
The two-unit congregational prayer concluded with supplications for the peace, unity, and progress of the nation.
