National Orientation Agency Launches Campaign to Promote Awareness of New National Anthem
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has implemented measures to ensure that Nigerians learn the New National Anthem, according to Dr. Priscilla Gondoaluor, the State Director of the Agency. She made this announcement during a sensitization and awareness campaign held in strategic locations across Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State.
This initiative follows a recent press briefing in which the NOA expressed its commitment to intensifying efforts to educate Nigerians about the New National Anthem and the National Values Charter, aiming to foster positive change in the country.
During the campaign, Dr. Gondoaluor and her team traversed major streets in Lafia, including the Lafia Neighborhood Market and Bukan Sidi Motor Park. They distributed flyers and engaged the public on the significance of knowing and reciting the New National Anthem, as well as understanding the core values and national symbols that have been overlooked.
In an interview after the outreach, Dr. Gondoaluor emphasized the Agency’s responsibility to educate the public on the importance of adhering to the country’s core values, symbols, and the National Anthem. She highlighted that these elements are crucial for promoting hard work, loyalty, and a commitment to the ideals of Nigeria’s founding fathers.
Dr. Gondoaluor commended the resilience of the people of Nasarawa State, who, despite daily challenges, are willing to embrace the nation’s core values and learn the New National Anthem. She believes that this sensitization campaign will inspire a positive change in attitudes, as the anthem’s lyrics are intended to strengthen bonds and foster unity among Nigeria’s diverse populations.
