State Leather Industry Takes Shape: 150 Students to be Trained Annually
Nasarawa State is poised to become a hub for leather works, thanks to a partnership between the state government and the Nigeria Institute for Leather Science and Technology (NILEST). Professor Mohammed Yakubu Idris, Director General of NILEST, praised the state government for providing accommodations for the leather industry’s take-off in Doma.
The Government Technical College Doma will serve as the take-off site, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state government and NILEST. Professor Idris, alongside Commissioner of Science Technology and Innovation Samuel Kafu Emgba, finalized the arrangements during a recent visit.
