Nasarawa Deputy Governor Urges Support for New Local Council Chairmen
Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, has called on citizens to support the newly elected local council chairmen to ensure their administrations succeed. After casting his ballot at the Akabe Junction Polling Unit in Doma, Dr. Akabe emphasized the importance of voting in democratic processes.
He praised the smooth electoral process, government functionaries’ participation, and voters’ turnout. Dr. Akabe noted that with the impending local government autonomy bill, incoming chairmen face significant responsibilities and urged them to focus on providing essential social amenities.
The local council election in Doma was reportedly peaceful.
