NBS Boss Tasks China-Trained Journalists on Quality Output
Executive Vice Chairman,Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS), Malam Awwalu Salihu, has charged two staff members of the station who attended a professional media training in China to leverage their newfound knowledge to enhance the organization’s output. Malam Salihu gave the charge during a courtesy visit to his office by the duo on Thursday.
The EVC commended God’spower Ede and Ibrahim Abdul for making NBS and Nasarawa State proud with their exemplary representation during the training.”The training will positively impact our station’s output and Nasarawa State’s media landscape,” he said. “I urge you to deploy your acquired knowledge, discipline, and teamwork to boost productivity.”Malam Salihu assured the duo of management’s support to enable them perform optimally.
NBS General Manager, Mr. Aloko Flashman, and Directors of News and Current Affairs, Mrs. Tina Cyril, and Programmes, Haj. Hadiza Dahiru, expressed delight at the opportunity to learn modern journalistic skills and pledged to utilize them effectively.
God’spower Ede, speaking on behalf of his colleague, thanked management for supporting their trip to China and expressed readiness to share their knowledge and experiences to enhance the station’s productivity.
The duo appealed for expanded platforms to deploy their expertise.God’spower Ede and Ibrahim Abdul were among 30 journalists from 10 African countries who attended the two-week Omni-media Journalists Seminar at Zheijang Normal University, Jinhua, China, organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
The Ten countries are Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Gambia, Benin and Nigeria.
