Deputy Chief Imam Urges Unity Among Muslims During Juma’at Sermon in Lafia
Ustaz Usman Abdullahi, the Deputy Chief Imam of Abdullahi Adamu Housing Estate Jumaat Mosque in Lafia, has called on Muslims to avoid divisive tendencies and embrace unity within the community. He delivered this important message during the Juma’at sermon at the mosque, addressing the congregation gathered for the two-unit prayer.
Emphasizing the significance of unity, Ustaz Abdullahi likened the Muslim community to a human body, stating that harm to one part ultimately affects the whole. He urged the faithful to act as their brothers’ keepers, reinforcing the idea that Muslims should support one another rather than foster enmity.
Drawing from various passages of the Qur’an and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Deputy Chief Imam highlighted the need for Muslims to be seen helping each other and promoting harmony.

He warned that disobedience to God leads to a meaningless life and urged Muslims to prioritize total compliance with divine laws to receive blessings.
