Islamic Scholars Stress Importance of Moral Education
Islamic scholars recently emphasized the crucial role of instilling good morals and providing quality religious education to the younger generation. This was expressed during the graduation ceremony of 15 female students who completed their Qur’anic studies at Metro Science Darul Qur’an Islamiya in Lafia.
The ceremony celebrated the students’ achievements, showcasing their proficiency in reciting the Quran. Guest speaker Malam Imam Dalhatu Ishaku urged parents to invest in their children’s education, particularly in Quranic studies, which play a vital role in their lives.
Other scholars highlighted the importance of Quran recitation and encouraged the Muslim community to seek knowledge about their faith. They cautioned against negative activities that could compromise their beliefs. The principal, Abubakar Musa Umar, challenged the graduates to utilize their knowledge wisely, enabling them to become better wives and knowledgeable individuals.
The graduating students expressed gratitude to their parents and teachers, pledging to apply their knowledge to contribute to Islam and their country. Outstanding students received gifts during the ceremony.
