Community Service Should Transcend Personal Ambitions and Political Aspirations

The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Doma Local Government chapter, Comrade Zubairu Ibrahim Ekpa, has emphasized the importance of community service being detached from personal ambitions and political aspirations. This statement was made during the presentation of the “Icon of 2024” award to Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Mohammed Danladi Galadima.

Comrade Ekpa praised Ambassador Galadima’s selfless contributions to the community, including the provision of three transformers, JAMB registration, and other forms of assistance. He encouraged the ambassador to continue his good work, promoting accelerated development in the area.

Comrade Ekpa also called on wealthy individuals in the community to emulate Ambassador Galadima’s humanitarian services and philanthropic gestures. He highlighted the ambassador’s resilience and doggedness in giving back to his community.

In response, Ambassador Galadima reiterated that the government alone cannot cater to the needs of its citizens. He emphasized the need for individuals and non-governmental organizations to support the government in providing for the downtrodden in society.

Ambassador Galadima assured the people of Doma that his community remains his top priority, and he seeks their support in driving development projects forward. Notably, he clarified that his gestures are not politically motivated, and he plans to implement more developmental projects in the area.
