Governor Abdullahi Sule Swears in New Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has sworn in Doctor Labaran Magaji, the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, as the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State. This appointment fills the vacancy created by the earlier removal of the former Secretary to the State Government and Commissioners on January 3, 2025.

Governor Sule emphasized that the swearing-in of Doctor Magaji is a deliberate effort to reposition the machinery of government, citing the legal luminary’s competence as the reason for his selection Âą. The Governor also took the opportunity to express his appreciation to the former Secretary to the State Government and immediate past members of the State Executive Council for their contributions to good governance.

In addition to Doctor Magaji’s appointment, Retired Air Commodore Yahaya Owuma was inaugurated as the Sole Administrator of the Udege Area Administrative Council, along with four other officials, in response to the ongoing crisis in the area.

Furthermore, Governor Sule confirmed the appointment and inauguration of Bulus Amoyi as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Nasarawa State College of Education Akwanga, highlighting the state government’s commitment to upholding the value of the institution.

While urging the appointees to remain committed to serving the state, Governor Sule also encouraged the people of Nasarawa to provide the necessary support for them to succeed in their tasks. Doctor Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, assured Governor Sule that he would adhere to the stipulations of the oaths he has sworn to and carry out his responsibilities with zeal.
